- 9 inch Dovetail Saw -

Effective immediately (21 November 2015), I have stopped taking new orders for custom backsaws. For a full explanation, please read this blog entry.

This dovetail saw falls on the smaller end of the spectrum, and is perfect for dovetails in wood up to about 3/4" thick. Its light weight, coupled with a high hang angle, make it a very responsive saw capable of the most precise and delicate work.

• Nine inch blade length.
• Canted blade - 1 1/2" depth of cut at the heel, 1 5/16" deep at the toe.
• To complement the canted blade, the thin spine (thickness of 3/16" vs. 1/4" on my 10" dovetail saw) is also tapered in depth.
• Standard tooth configuration of 16 ppi. Filed rip, with just a touch of fleam to smooth out the cut. Not sure what ppi or fleam means? Don't worry - it's all explained here - and if you still have questions, please let me know.
• Made with a 0.015" thick plate.
